Irish-born General Patrick R. Cleburne leading his troops at the battle of Franklin, Tennessee November 30,1864. After the General's horse had been shot out from under him, and a remount suffering the same fate, he continued to lead his men on foot. Last seen charging into thick smoke, his body was recovered the next day where he had been killed.
